An Introduction to the Noahide Nazarene Way

By Yochanan ben Avraham (John of AllFaith) © 2003 (last updated 7.29.10)

Welcome to my introduction to the Noahide Nazarene Way.

You may have never heard of this belief system before and that's OK, that's why this page was created! Here you will gain a basic understanding of the Noahide Movement in general as well as the Noahide Nazarene Way in particular. May HaShem (the "Holy Name" and God of Israel) and our Adon (Master) Y'shua the Anointed bless your desire to learn more about His Way!

The Noahide Nazarene Way
An Overview:
Hi again Niklas, --- You failed to show any verse from the Tanakh that specifically command non Jews to observe shabbat, so you can not say Rabbis are violating Torah when they teach that a few mitzvot, like shabbat, are to be observed different or not at all by gentiles. I have shown you several. Following are more. What you seem to be missing is that the Torah was given primarily to the Jews, to instruct them. There are very few commands about anything that specially are addressed to the Goyim because that would exclude the Jews to whom the Torah was given. Here is a direct statement that "Strangers" (ger) who keep Shabbat are blessed: Isaiah 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. Isa 56:3 *** Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people:**** neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. ..... Isa 56:6 *** Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it,***** and taketh hold of my covenant; Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. This is abundantly clear. We are invited, encouraged, to properly take up and keep Shabbat by Adonai Himself. If we do we inherit the blessings of the Olam Haba along with the Jews. Again, Genesis 2:1-3 was given long before the Torah was revealed to Moshe. The Shabbat command is to all people for all times, just like the Seven Laws are to all people, including the Jews (they are included in the 613). When the Noahides failed to prove themselves worthy HaShem selected the Israelites as the priests of the Noahides (Exodus 19:6) to guide us as our priesthood. Shabbat is the day our priests are supposed to minister to our spiritual needs as their congregants. Unfortunately (and understandably) most Jews, including most rabbis, have forsaken this obligation (Genesis 12:3 through the Jews, HaShem will bless all nations). Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. ALL flesh shall come to worship on Shabbat. It can't get any clearer than that. Isaiah 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger [the Noahides], that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath [EVERYONE that keeps the Sabbath] from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant [singular: this is the covenant with the whole earth: the Noachide Covenant]; Isa 56:7 Even them [the Noahides] will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. One what day will these "all people" be worshiping if not Shabbat? Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. What does Shabbat indicate? That Adonai in six days made the heaven and earth. ALL who accept this truth are to show gratitude to Him by honoring His Sabbath. Creation is not only for the Jews. Exodus 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and THE GER (the stranger), may be refreshed Leviticus 25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee, Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger (Ger: Noahide) that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: 2Ch 6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger [Noahides], which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; 2Ch 6:33 Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name. Psa 119:19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. Psa 119:20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. Psa 119:21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. Psa 119:22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies. Psa 119:23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. Psa 119:24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.
