The Revelation of Y'shua the Anointed:
A Study into the Noahide Nazarene Way

    Chapter Ten

Go to the index page for: The Revelation of Y'shua the Anointed

Revelation 10:1 I saw a mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head. His face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

This is most likely the same angel from East we met earlier:

5:1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals. 5:2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?"...

7:2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God...

    We continue:

10:2 He had in his hand a little open book. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land. 10:3 He cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.
10:4 When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from Heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and don't write them."

This of course is reminiscent of Daniel's experience:

Daniel 12:9 He [an angel] said, Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

Ominous truths will be revealed God's people shortly as Joel's prophecy begins its fulfillment (Joel 2:28)!

Now we will touch on another of those interesting interpretations. As before, this is just food for thought. First the text:

10:5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the sky, 10:6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,

First, the most likely meaning of this is that the waiting for the Kingdom is at an end. The time has come for Moshiach to establish the Kingdom.

However... Even though the translation used here is closet in my opinion (i.e. closest to hoti esomai chronos ou eti): "...that there will no longer be delay..." it may be noted that the King James Version has it as, "that there should be time no longer."

It is worth noting that according to the Mayan prophecies (and others) what is supposed to happen on 12.21.2012 is not the "end of the world" as such. Those prophecies predict the end of time itself, something far more intriguing! The idea is that time is being gradually compressed and will simply cease or bleep-out on that date. There has been a lot of fascinating speculation about what might happen on 12.21.2012. Since the King James Version presents this verse as: "...there should be time no longer" it has been argued that we have biblical corroboration of the 2012 prophecies here. Out of respect to the "King James Only" folks, not to mention interesting possibilities, this theory is all the more intriguing when we consider what is supposed to happen on this date (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count). There is supposed to be an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (the Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (or path of the Sun). This configuration will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT on 12.21.12 (so stay tuned!). What will happen then? Theories abound! However those who see a biblical link with this verse note that the following prophecy happens at about the same time -- i.e. Revelation 10:6, which is parenthetical, and the following verses:

    Arguably, conceivably:

6:12 I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as blood.
6:13 The stars of the sky fell to the earth, like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when it is shaken by a great wind.
6:14 The sky was removed like a scroll when it is rolled up. Every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Conceivably. I'm just sharing the information not making a prediction. However, consider this prophecy about Rex Mundi as well:

Daniel 7:25 He shall speak words against the Most High and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

    There are many interesting possibilities!

Let's continue with our text now:

10:7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.

John was told not to write down what the seven thunders uttered, however one can't help but notice that the Seventh Shofar or Trumpet will be sounded as Moshiach takes his Throne as we discussed before. When he does this, "the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets."

The Bible is first and foremost a Book of Prophecy. From its first prophecy (Gen 3:16) to its last the message is the promise that God will establish His Kingdom and redeem the Earth.

The angel is declaring the utter truth and solemnity of the moment. What is taking place is happening by the sovereign Will of HaShem.

10:8 The voice which I heard from heaven, again speaking with me, said, "Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land." 10:9 I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book.
He said to me, "Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."
10:10 I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth. When I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

This Holy Book is the Book of God's Promise. With this "Book" HaShem covenanted with Noah and his descendants and gave us all the Seven Holy Laws. With this "Book" God covenanted with Abraham and Sarah, promising that through their offspring the entire world would be blessed. With this Holy "Book" HaShem established His Torah with Moses and the Hebrews/Israelites/Jews/Israelis throughout their generations. Through this "Book" HaShem raised up Y'shua the Anointed, sought to redirect the Jewish people into a living relationship with HaShem and through him grafted the Noahides onto the Tree of Israel.

And now, through this Glorious Book HaShem is revealing to His servant John (and us) how Moshiach will defeat Rex Mundi and establish the Kingdom he promised to Father Noah, to Abraham and Sarah, to Moses, to the Jewish people and to the People of the Way.

    Such a Book!

We should not think of this Holy Book as being the Bible nor any other printed volume. It is the record of HaShem's dealings with the planet. This is not a natural book but a supernatural one. It is not a record of the Truth, it is Truth and Truth was fully revealed to John.

To John the promise of the coming Kingdom was sweet. He experienced HaShem's love for humanity, His goodness and mercy...

But then he realized the depth of human depravity and sin, the lengths HaShem has gone to rescue us and our ungratefulness. He experienced the evil done to the people of HaShem and the high price the righteous have paid as His Suffering Servant! Then he saw the things yet to come before the Kingdom would be established and John was sickened to his stomach by the realization.

    And...

10:11 They told me, "You must prophesy again over many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."

    Here ends chapter 10.
