Revelation 18:1 After these things, I saw another angel coming down out of the sky, having great authority. The earth was illuminated with his glory.

Whenever the prophets use phrases like "after these things", "therefore", "wherefore" and so on pay attention to what ever occurred previously. In this case, we understand that Babylon the Great emerged from the fallen Laodecian Church. In the previous chapter John gave us an overview of the reign of Babylon the Great. Now, after that reign, he will reveal her final destruction. Many people gloss over this chapter understanding only that Babylon fell, but there is a lot of important information revealed here we will see.

Angel Worship

As for who this angel is, I again suspect this is that holy angel who arose in the eastern sky at 7:2. I also believe this to be the angel that replaced Lucifer after he rebelled. We are told very little about this celestial being.

There are those equate this angel with Y'shua the Anointed. According to the Arian Christian sect Jehovah's Witnesses and a few others Y'shua and Michael the Archangel are the same being. There is however nothing in scripture identifying our Master as an angel, Michael or otherwise and no reason to suppose this angel is either Michael or Y'shua as no name is given for him in Scripture (all biblical angels are male). Some traditions identify this angel as Archangel Raphael.

With the growing interest in angel and demon worship/adoration and Gnosticism it is worth noting that according to Resh Lakish -- Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish of Tiberias (230-270 CE) -- all of the specific names for the angels were brought back by the Jews from Babylon. Angels are celestial messengers of HaShem and never seek their own recognition or glory. Most modern biblical scholars agree with the rabbi on this. This point is very relevant when studying Babylon the Great. As stated above, I am convinced that Babylon the Great will be the return of Babylonian religion under a Roman-based context. The current rise in Angel veneration and the belief that certain humans are incarnated angels fits into this understanding perfectly.

"Babylon the Great has fallen, fallen."

18:2 He cried with a mighty voice, saying, "Babylon the Great has fallen, fallen, and she has become an abode of demons, a holding cell for every manner of unclean spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hateful bird! 18:3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from the abundance of her luxuries."

As stated before, Babylon the Great does not yet exist (although she is clearly rising now). Neither the Roman Catholic Church, the New Age Movement or any other currently existing organization is Babylon the Great.

Within the ancient religions of Babylon, Sumeria, Egypt, and other Pagan systems -- within them -- the Luciferian seed John identifies as the Nicolaitane Heresy was present and growing. That evil seed grew within Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Shintoism... and within Judaism... it grew wherever people sought the Truth, wherever they tried to find God and meaning and enlightenment and freedom... that corrupt seed took root and grew.

In the late first and early second century CE that vile seed began to manifest within the Way...

As people desiring to follow Y'shua, his Way is our concern (and John's here) but understand that "that woman Jezebel" has committed spiritual fornication during every period of time, in every culture, among race, ethnic group and religious and philosophical system, and they will ALL embrace her One World Religion and her master, Rex Mundi.

As the Nicean Church continues to be vomited out (Rev. 3:15) she is becoming ever more unified with the globalist teachings of Jezebel and the Vatican will become the foundation upon which Jezebel, the Nicolaitane Elite, will establish their One World Religious and Economic System in service to the Beast.

As Babylon the Great emerges she will become (is becoming) the central abode for demonic activity on the Earth.

Come out of her my people!

18:4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don't receive of her plagues, 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Now the call is given to come out from among her.

As we are now witnessing the emergence of Babylon the Great we must begin to decide when to leave her system completely. Again, Babylon the Great does not yet exist HOWEVER much of organized religion already clearly bears her imprint.

It used to be asked: 'Where do you go to church, or don't you believe in God?' but now the question for many is, 'Do you go to church or do you believe in God?' Finding a congregation that does not manifest an abundance of Laodecian tendencies can be very difficult!

Until the rise of the One World Religion each person of faith must determine what do to with respect to joining or maintaining membership in local assemblies, denominations and so on. Once Babylon the Great rises however the scriptural command will be clear: Depart! Flee from her!

And notice the reason: "...that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don't receive of her plagues." If we support congregations (denominations etc) with our money, our energies, our prayers, our time etc. we partake in what those congregations and their ministries do. If ones congregation feeds and clothes the poor, encourages the outcasts and welcomes all sincere people with open and loving arms, we will receive partial rewards for those good works. BUT if our congregation, denomination and so on does or supports evil, if they support antisemitic causes, if they foster prejudice, discrimination, racism and so on, then we ALSO partake of those things! It is therefore a most serious consideration! One doesn't merely "go to church." We ARE the Church!

Those who remain within the organized religions of Babylon the Great will be partakers in her evils and when the time comes for HaShem to order her destruction such people will also have a share in that! Take this seriously. God does.

The same principle applies to political and social affiliations. There are streams or cords of moral responsibility that unite us to what we support. This is why many people are leaving all political parties and registering as independents (or leaving the System entirely and not voting at all). It is why many refuse to do jury duty (understanding that this corrupt and immoral state has no right to judge anyone when it is so blatantly evil itself). It is why many refuse to salute the flag of any nation (knowing that their kingdom is not of this world... yet). Understanding that Lucifer is the god of this world (II Cor 4:4) many Believers are refusing to pay him homage in any way nor to support his evil System. Once Rex Mundi and his False Prophet are in direct power such convictions will be essential (arguably they already are!).

18:6 Render to her accounts as she did to yours, and repay her double as she deserves, and according to her works. In the cup which she mixed, mix to her double.
18:7 However much she glorified herself, and lived in luxury, so much give her of torment and mourning. For she says in her heart, 'I sit a queen, and am no widow, and will in no way see mourning.'

There's a few important points here.

The angel declares "Come out of her my people..." and so we know he speaking to the people, not applauding HaShem's judgment of her (which of course the angel does endorse wholeheartedly). He tells the Resistance (the 144,000 Jewish emissaries and the Great Multitude of the Gentiles who stand with them) to render her her due! As we have discussed, Moshiach will be leading the people of HaShem throughout the Seven years. When the Day of Vengeance falls upon the Nicolaitanes the people will be part of it directly.

Revelation 3:17 Because you say, 'I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing;' and yet don't realize that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;

Now this realization will be had as the wealthy congregations, cathedrals and temples are looted and burned! As once faithful members rush into the Vatican libraries and vaults collecting the wealth of the ages the disempowered Papacy will be at a loss to stop them! Books and scrolls long hidden from the public will be found and brought to light (alas much of this information probably will not be revealed until the dawning of the Kingdom Age due to the chaos). Assuming they exist, the world will be able to read the original writings of the New Testament and countless related documents! Just imagine the wealth of knowledge as everything the Nicolaitanes have hidden is made known:

Matthew 10:26 Therefore don't be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.

These Laodecian Nicolaitanes will boast that they are no widows! A clear reference to their being exiled into the Tribulation by HaShem. The Elite will boast that they are not widows for their true husband Nicholas, Lucifer, accepts them still! And yet true mourning is exactly what they will experience as Rex Mundi abandons them without so much as a divorce certificate!

Because no one is loyal and faithful to a whore!

18:8 Therefore in one day her plagues will come: death, mourning, and famine; and she will be utterly burned with fire; for the Lord God who has judged her is mighty.

There is some disagreement as to the meaning of the term "in one day" here:

The word "one" (mia here) means "only one" and "day" (hemera) usually refers to the period of light occurring within a 24 hour period (as opposed to the dark of night). However hemera is also used in a general sense, as in, "in the days of Herod the king..." (Matt 2:1).

Because the prophet says en mia hemera, "in only one day" the meaning seems clear to me. It is saying that within the span of a single 12 hour day something horrific is going to occur that will utterly devastate the City of Rome (seat of the Babylon the Great System) as well as its global influence, and that this event will be covertly caused by Moshiach. Once it occurs his forces will take advantage of this crises as described above at 18:6 and 7.

18:9 The kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they consider the smoke of her burning. 18:10 They will stand far away for the fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For your judgment has come in one hour.'

Now the time has been even further defined from a 12 hour period to a single hour. At our present pre-tribulation point in history this distinction may not seem important, but for those living in Rome when this event takes place it will be of vital importance. It will not be a gradual process that one can gauge and wait until the end to escape.

Some misinterpret this reference as speaking of Jerusalem based on the warning of Y'shua to flee that city. That fleeing however will take place immediately following the Abomination of Desolation while this fleeing will take place at a later date. Also, we know from the context that this is the City of Seven Hills (Rev. 19:9): Roma, not Jerusalem.

The kings of the Earth, you will recall, are all acting "in one accord" with the Beast. The fall of Babylon the Great will therefore have grievance consequences for them as rulers. Something is going to happen in the space of a single hour that will rock the foundations of their political power and control.

18:11 The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, because no one buys her merchandise any more; 18:12 merchandise of gold, silver, precious stones, and of pearls, fine linen, purple, silk, scarlet, thyine wood [Greek: thuon: "fragrant wood" or thuein, "to sacrifice"], implements of ivory, implements made of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble; 18:13 and cinnamon, incense, ointments, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, domesticated animals, sheep, horses, chariots, and people's bodies and souls.

And not only the politicians but the merchants as well will mourn her loss. There is a growing misconception that the world is heading toward global Communism. This is not what is happening! The Novus Ordo Seclorum system is Fascist, not Communist. Rex Mundi will be pinnacle of power (think of Adolf Hitler only worse). Like Hitler, his will not only be a political system but a religious one as well. Even before the Abomination of Desolation his followers will view him as a god-like figure. As global potentate Rex Mundi will control all using the corporate power base of the Bilderberg Group and similar agencies.

Select corporate executives will lead the global economy as Rex Mundi directs.

The reference to the selling of thyine wood is worth noting. Thuon translates as "fragrant wood" and thuein as "to sacrifice". The meaning is that among the losses mourned by corporate elite will be the fragrant woods burned in worship to the Beast! Under orders from the False Prophet billions of people will buy this fragrant North African wood to worship their god! The financial loss of this wood alone would be astronomical. The list of their losses is doubtless intended as an example only, however the loss of Babylon the Great's control over the masses will be staggering!

However we see something else in this verse as well. We see that the worship of the Beast will be orchestrated through Babylon the Great. Just a point worth noting but it does confirm what I wrote previously about the use of home and public shrines for mandatory worship.

When discussing chapter 13 I presented my view, based on a dream and subsequent visions I've had, about what the Mark would be and do. Rather than going over this material again here you may want to refer back there and begin reading at the subheading "The Mark as a Delivery System" if you don't recall.

Essentially, I believe that the Mark of the Beast will be a technologically advanced delivery system that will not only implant tracking devises throughout the body (and hence be irremovable), upgradable essential records and a financial interface between the chip and external scanners (located in the right hand in most cases), but will also fundamentally alter the DNA of those who are transfected with it.

This verse (18:13) supports this view when it speaks of "and people's bodies and souls." Let's look at this a little closer.

The Authorized King James Version has this verse as "... and slaves, and souls of men."

The word translated as "slaves" in the KJV and "people's bodies" here is soma (interesting parallels to Aldus Huxely's Brave New World aside) it means the physical body (whether of humans or animals). It can refer to slaves but that is only one use of the word. What it speaks of is the ownership or complete control over others by the System the False Prophet will establish in the service of Rex Mundi.

"People's bodies and souls" will be nothing more than commodities controlled by the corporate fascists employed by Babylon the Great! This is a most disturbing truth that is clearly revealed here (and which I believe Aldus Huxely was aware of). These global fascist capitalists will be buying and selling the bodies and souls of human beings! The Mark of the Beast will make this nightmare possible! Once Marked all volition and free will will be submitted to the Beast. These poor, damned people will be little more than zombies of the Elite! This is the vision shared here by Prophet John... and by George Orwell and Aldus Huxely as well:

Through the Mark of the Beast Babylon the Great will control the world with Rex Mundi as Big Brother.

It is known that Aldus Huxley, and to a lesser extent George Orwell, had direct ties with the Novus Ordo Seclorum Elite. These were not works of fiction they shared, they were warnings by people on the inside.

Eugenics

Rex Mundi will be considered "above" such mundane affairs as managing the world economy, and so even as Adolf Hitler delegated such authorities to his underlings while maintaining absolute control, so too will Rex Mundi. This is where the False Prophet comes in.

The False Prophet will preside over Babylon the Great even as Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler ruled over the SS. The False Prophet will wield such awesome power. He will oversee the loyalty oath, the Mark and the execution of those deemed unworthy or unwilling to accept it.

In chapters 13 and 14 we discussed the Mark of the Beast. There it was explained that receiving the Mark will require one to take an oath of loyalty to Rex Mundi personally and to his global government (even as citizens of the Third Reich were forced to pledged to their furor personally). The same this will happen again. There will doubtless even be a required common greeting such as Heil Hitler.

Under the authority of the False Prophet Babylon the Great will oversee the worship of the Beast and the issuance of his Mark (the encoded implants).

When Babylon the Great is destroyed this entire evil system will collapse with it! The city of Rome (including Vatican City) will be the central hub of the global economy and religion. When it is unexpectedly destroyed, the computer networks and so on that System is built around will fail as well.

Since we know that:

Revelation 13:16 He [i.e. the False Prophet] causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; 13:17 and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name...

We also know that destroying the foundation of that System will cripple it and that no one with the Mark will then be able to buy or sell! This is what will happen when Rome is utterly destroyed!

We continue for more on this:

18:14 The fruits which your soul lusted after have been lost to you, and everything pertaining to a sumptuous and delicate life style of splendor have departed from you, and you will never find them again.

This comment is directed to Jezebel and to the leaders of the Nicolaitane System.

18:15 The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, will stand far away for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning; 18:16 saying, 'Alas, alas, the great city, she who was dressed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!
18:17 For in an hour such great riches are laid to waste.' Indeed, every shipmaster, and everyone who sails anywhere, and mariners, and all who gain their living by sea, stood far away, 18:18 and cried out as they beheld the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city was ever like this great city?'

The notion of ships transporting goods references her intimate involvement in the global economy. This description would include airlines etc. The point is that under the rule of Babylon the Great and her False Prophet Rome will be the hub of the global economy, doubtless through the Club of Rome:

founded in April 1968 by Aurelio Peccei, an Italian industrialist, and Alexander King, a Scottish scientist. It was formed when a small international group of people from the fields of academia, civil society, diplomacy, and industry, met at a villa [note: owned by Rockefeller] in Rome, Italy, hence the name.
Hasan Özbekhan, Erich Jantsch and Alexander Christakis were responsible for conceptualizing the original prospectus of the Club of Rome titled The Predicament of Mankind. This prospectus was founded on a humanistic architecture and the participation of stakeholders in democratic dialogue. When the Club of Rome Executive Committee in the Summer of 1970 opted for a mechanistic and elitist methodology for an extrapolated future, they resigned from their positions. (Source).

These videos clearly depict how the religion and the structure of Babylon the Great are being established today.

Their plans will fail however! When this house of cards collapses the Elite will mourn and tremble at the realization that nature is not God, nature's God is!

18:19 They cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Alas, alas, the great city, in which all who had ships in the sea were made rich through her great wealth!' For in one hour is she made desolate.
18:20 "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy ones, apostles, and prophets; for God's decree has avenged you on her."

Even as the Elite lament the loss of Babylon the Great the holy ones, the Believers, will exalt in God's wisdom and power!

It is somewhat conjecture but it appears that Moshiach will have already placed his people in the ready for this event. When it occurs they will rush to retrieve from the Vatican vaults and other places those items desired to be preserved for history. They will gather works of art, scroll, books, jewelry, all sorts of items. There may be others joining in this sacking of Roma out of greed, however since all those who accept the Mark of the Beast will have lost most of their individual volition their part in these activities will probably be minimal. Doubtless police and others will seek to stop the looters however Roma will be in a state of such chaos that there will probably be little serious resistance to the Believers. Once the System is destroyed there will be no one to direct the human drones.

18:21 A mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down, and will be found no more at all. 18:22 The voice of harpists, minstrels, flute players, and trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. No craftsman, of whatever craft, will be found any more at all in you. The sound of milling will be heard no more at all in you. 18:23 The light of a lamp will shine no more at all in you. The voice of the bridegroom and of the bride will be heard no more at all in you; for your merchants were the elite of the earth; for with your idolatrous drugs all the nations were deceived.

Recall the following verses from John's preview of these events:

Revelation 16:17 The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came forth out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"
16:18 There were voices, lightnings, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.
16:19 The great city [i.e. Roma] was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the Great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
16:20 Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
16:21 Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent, fell from the sky onto the people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because this plague is exceedingly severe.

This is the point John is describing here in chapter 18. Roma, the City of Romulus, world headquarters of Nicolaitane power and its False Prophet and Reichsführer of the New World Order will suffer an earthquake of unparalleled magnitude. These quakes will rock much of Europa. The city will be split into three sections by the initial quake. Amid the aftershocks the holy ones will rush to loot the treasures of the Vatican and Roma, each under the direction of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit of God's anointing). Having accomplished this, they will flee for safety (presumably going north away from the seas) knowing what is yet to come:

As "... a great millstone" will be cast into the sea.

This "millstone" probably refers to the great hailstones that will fall as described in verse 21 of chapter 16 above: "Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent..." A talent in this context is about 100 US pounds (45.3 kilos). These will be massive hailstones capable of doing extreme damage. These falling mountains of ice will pound the land and seas probably shortly after the earthquakes.

This verse (18:21) doubtless foretells how these massive quakes will cause buckles in the tectonic plates of the earth causing massive tidal waves. The floor of the Ligurian and Mediterranean Seas will crack open and erupt massive flood waters that will cover the entire Italian peninsula. The Adriatic Sea will doubtless reciprocate, first dropping but then lurching upward, sandwiching Roma and all Italy between rival torrents of water that will pound the land mercilessly. The land will crumble into the seas before this onslaught and when its finished, Rome will never be found again! Absolute destruction comparable to the destruction of Pompeii in 79 CE or the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah. In this way the Whore of Babylon will face absolute and utter annihilation.

The Fall of Babylon then is two-fold. It refers to the destruction of the global false religion into which the present Laodecian Church will devolve, and it references the literal destruction of the City of Roma that will be the headquarters of the Nicolaitane portion of the Novus Ordo Seclorum.

There is a key phrase in verse 23 that needs to be especially considered. The King James Version (KJV) has this as:

18:23 ... for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

In the Noahide Nazarene Bible (NNB) I present it as:

18:23 ... for your merchants were the elite of the earth; for with your idolatrous drugs all the nations were deceived.

These men were the megistanes of the Earth. This word means the grandees, magnates, nobles, chief men. The word "great" conveys this, however the word "Elite" includes the sense that they will control finances, impact the culture and be considered above their peers in a way the word great does not. For instance, Gandhi ji of India was a truly great man but he certainly was not the sort of person being described here. These will be the Elite of the New World Order.

"Idolatrous Drugs"

Note that the word translated in the KJV and NNB as sorceries and as idolatrous drugs respectively is very telling.

The word in Greek is pharmakeia from which we get the word pharmacy, pharmaceutical and so on. In 1611 (when the KJV was translated) the people were far more concerned about witchcraft and sorcery run amok than about medicines and globalist pharmaceutical companies, and of course many sorcerers applied their craft with the use of drugs. So the KJV is correct in its translation but it is not, in my opinion, the best one today.

We know from context that it will be through the Mark of the Beast that the False Prophet will "deceive the world." Since we now understand that the Mark will be an implant (something inconceivable to John 2000 years ago) the pharmaceutical ramifications of this implant are apparent to us as they would not have been to him.

Of this word pharmakeia Strong's Concordance informs us:

Pharmakeia (far-mak-i'-ah);
Word Origin: Greek, Noun Feminine from (5332):

the use or the administering of drugs poisoning
sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry.

Considering the context of what is being described by John I am convinced that the most accurate translation here is "idolatrous drugs" although even this term doesn't completely relay what John was seeing. There was no terminology available to John that could have come any closer to describing what he saw.

When the Mark of the Beast is implanted the recipient will be transfected with lab designed pharmaceutical agents that will literally alter the person as desired by the Elite. Most transfected persons will become, for all intent and purposes, zombies. Some of the drones will be designed as killing machines for the Global Union military, others will be programed for manual labor and so on, but all will submit to Rex Mundi and his New World Order completely. If you accept the Mark you too will submit to the Beast. Refuse! No matter the cost!

This is the plan of the Elite.

This is what we are called to oppose even to the death.

18:24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones, and of all who have been slain on the earth."

For her crimes against God and humanity Babylon the Great will be utterly annihilated and "Thus with violence will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down, and will be found no more at all." (Rev. 18:21 cited above).
