Audio Version:

We pray to HaShem, the Holy One of Israel, to fill our hearts with wisdom and understanding as we continue this study into the Revelation of our chief rabbi, Navi Y'shua.
Revelation 10:1 I saw a mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head. His face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

This is most likely the same angel from East we met earlier:

Revelation 5:1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.
5:2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?"...

Revelation 7:2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God...

The Rainbow enshrouds his consciousness like a crown recalling HaShem's covenant with all the earth through Noach avinu. This imagery further reminds us that these are continuing events not isolated occurrences; that HaShem has been working toward our restoration since the Rebellion began. To this end, He decreed seven universal laws to guide all humanity:

Sheva Mitzvot B'nei Noach

  1. Avodah Zarah: Prohibition on idolatry: HaShem is to be the focus of our lives and worship.
  2. Birchat HaShem: Prohibition on blasphemy and using the Name of God lightly. Hence we refer to the Most High as "HaShem" or "Adonai" and hold the Holy Name in the highest reverence.
  3. Shefichat Damim: Prohibition on murder, the unjustified taking of human life.
  4. Gezel: Prohibition on robbery and theft.
  5. Gilui Arayot: Prohibition on immorality and forbidden sexual relations.
  6. Ever Min HaChay: Prohibition on removing and eating a limb from a live animal and other forms of animal cruelty.
  7. Dinim: Requirement to establish fair legal systems to enforce the other six laws.

With the coming/return of haMoshiach, once again evil will be swept away and humanity will be granted a fresh start. This time haMelech will maintain and protect the earth from the darkness of the Rebellion.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noach were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.

We continue:

Revelation 10:2 He had in his hand a little open book. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land.
10:3 He cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.
10:4 When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from Heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and don't write them."

This of course is reminiscent of Daniel's experience:

Daniel 12:9 He [an angel] said, Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

Private or privy truths and counsels will be revealed to God's people as Joel's prophecy is enacted. In service to haMelekh HaShem's willing servants will be empowered and enlightened to join the battle against the Globalists and to assist haMoshiach in establishing the Theocratic Kingdom:

Joel 2:28 "After this, I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions;
29 and also on male and female slaves in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
30 I will show wonders in the sky and on earth - blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and terrible Day of ADONAI."
32 At that time, whoever calls on the name of ADONAI will be saved. For in Mount Tziyon and Yerushalayim there will be those who escape, as ADONAI has promised; among the survivors will be those whom ADONAI has called.

Now we will touch on another of those interesting interpretations that are not directly stated in the texts. As before, this is just food for thought. First the text:

Revelation 10:5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the sky,
10:6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay.

The literal truth revealed here is that the waiting for the Kingdom is at an end. The time has come for haMoshiach to establish the Theocratic Kingdom.

Additionally... Even though the translation here is correct (i.e. hoti esomai chronos ou eti means "...that there will no longer be delay...") it may be noted that the King James Version also accurately has it as, "that there should be time no longer." This wording has given rise to some interesting speculation.

It is worth noting that according to the Mayan prophecies (and others) what is supposed to happen on 12.21.2012 (still in our future at the time of this writing) is not the "end of the world" as some are saying. Their prophecies predict the end of time itself, something far more intriguing! The idea is that time is being gradually compressed and will simply cease to exist as objectively discernible on that date. Distinctions between past, present and future will be impossible to make after this date, they say. There has been a lot of fascinating speculation about what might happen on 12.21.2012. Since the King James Version presents this verse as: "...there should be time no longer" it has been argued that we have biblical corroboration of the 2012 prophecies.

Out of respect to the "King James Only" folks, not to mention the interesting possibilities this translation provides, this theory is all the more intriguing when we consider what is supposed to happen on this date (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count) in terms of biblical prophecy. There is supposed to be an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (the Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (or path of the Sun). This configuration is expected to come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT on 12.21.12. It is being conjectured by some that on this date the Rex Mundi may make his first public appearance since the first Trumpet announces the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as we discussed earlier. What will happen then? Theories abound and we all see soon enough!

To be clear, we at Temple and Yeshiva Beth HaShem are not predicting any dates herein even though the possibilities is quite interesting to consider.

Let's continue with our text now:

Revelation 10:7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.

John was told not to write down what the seven thunders uttered, however one can't help but notice that the Seventh Shofar or Trumpet will be sounded as haMoshiach takes his Throne, also as we discussed before. When he does this, "the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets." This point again demonstrates the Rapture theory to be incorrect.

The Bible is first and foremost a Book of Prophecy. From its first prophecy (Genesis 3:16) to its last message the promise is that God will establish His Kingdom and redeem the Earth. This, and how He will utilize People Israel, including the Meshiykhiyyim, is its central prophetic theme. What is taking place at this point in our time line is happening by the sovereign Will of HaShem to further His ongoing plan to establish a planetary Gan Eden, the Theocratic Kingdom.

Revelation 10:8 The voice which I heard from heaven, again speaking with me, said, "Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land."
10:9 I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book.
He said to me, "Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."
10:10 I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth. When I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

This Holy Book is the Book of God's Promise. With this "Book" HaShem covenanted with Noah and his descendants and gave us all the Seven Holy Laws. With this "Book" God covenanted with Avraham and Sarah, promising that through their offspring the entire world would be blessed. With this Holy "Book" HaShem established His Torah with Moses and the Hebrews/Israelites/Jews throughout their generations. Through this "Book" HaShem raised up Y'shua the Anointed, sought to redirect the Jewish people into a living relationship with HaShem and through him HaShem invites the Goyim/Noahides to be grafted onto the Tree of Israel.

And now, through this Glorious Book HaShem is revealing to His servant John (and us) how haMoshiach will defeat Rex Mundi and the Novus Ordo Seclorum and establish the Kingdom he promised to Father Noah, to Abraham and Sarah, to Moshe, to the Jewish people and to the Meshiykhiyyim.

Such a Book!

We should not think of this Holy Book as being the Bible nor any other printed volume. This is the Sacred "Book" that reveals HaShem's dealings with the planet, that contains His Will; it is that which perfectly reflects His Mind. Our Rebbe was in complete harmony with this Word (John 1). This little Book is the Eternal Torah from which the Written and Oral Torah flows. This Book is not a record of the Truth, it is Truth and now as we continue with the text we see that Truth being fully revealed to Navi John! Navi Yochanan (John) is not able to fully share what he receives with us but it must have been absolutely amazing.

To Navi Yochanan the revelation of the coming Kingdom was sweet. Through the Book he experienced HaShem's love for humanity, His goodness and mercy...

But Truth is a two-edged sword and in its Light John also realized the depth of human depravity and sin. He realized the lengths to which HaShem has gone to rescue us and he beheld our ungratefulness for such a gift. He experienced the evil done to the people of HaShem and the high price the righteous have paid as His Suffering Servant! He must have felt so ashamed! How could one from such a rebellious world now stand before the holy servants of Adonai in the very Throne Room of the Eternal! Then, in a state of absolute teshuva or repentance John the beloved saw the things yet to come before the Kingdom could be established and he was sickened to his stomach!

And then...

Revelation 10:11 They told me, "You must prophesy again over many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."

Here ends chapter 10.

Next: Navi Yochanan beholds the Heavenly Beit HaMikdash!
