The Two Witnesses

We pray to HaShem, the Holy One of Israel, to fill our hearts with wisdom and understanding as we continue this study into the Revelation of our chief rabbi, Navi Y'shua.

Revelation 11:3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

Prophecy students generally focus on the Rex Mundi and ignore human culpability in these events. As humans we tend to blame others for the evils around us. We piously deny individual responsibility for our collective failures. "Congress is to blame!" We proclaim. Its the fault of those liberal Democrats!" "Its the Republicans fault!" "The Communists are responsible!" "The Muslims are to blame!" On and on...

Of course historically humanity's most popular scapegoat has always been "the Jews."

But now the Day of Reckoning will be at hand and we will all be held accountable!

We are called to be our "brother's keepers" and to be the caretakers of this earth and its inhabitants. We have failed miserably at our job. The Two Witnesses will place the blame where it belongs. Without human apathy, greed, rebellion and support the New World Order "nanny state" and its coming global depot would never had come to power (II Thessalonians 2:3, Revelation 3:14-19).

Around the time when the Rex Mundi commits the abomination of desolation (i.e. three and half years after his treaty with Israel is signed) these two prophets will make their presence known as anointed ("moshiach" or "christed") witnesses against the people of the earth and their infernal leader "the Little Horn" (Dan 7:8, 8:9). These two empowered Nevi'im (prophets) will testify to the rightness of HaShem's increasing intervention in human affairs and they will also act as the executioners of many of those judgments. The Two Witnesses will publicly proclaim and pass judgement on humanity for its failure to observe the conditions of the Seven Law Covenant given through Noach avinu. They will hold People Israel accountable for their failure to be Torah observant. They will publicly condemn humanity for its embrace of "He Who Opposes Torah." They will publicly announce that due to humanity's failure and the attempted genocide of the planet's Jewish inhabitants (described in Revelation 12), HaShem is now intervening in human affairs and taking control of the planet. These two empowered nevi'im will announce the end of human free will and self determination.

Without direct divine intervention the human race at this point will be a mere three and half years (1260 days or 42 months) away from total self-annihilation. We now have the technology to do that for the first time in recorded human history. These announcements will be made just as Navi Y'shua the Anointed foretold:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 Unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would survive. But for the sake of the Elect [i.e. dia ho eklektos "the chosen channel" of HaShem's Will, i.e. Jews], those days will be shortened.

The One Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty Days Consider that a standard year is 365.242199 days. The prophecy of these Two Anointed Witnesses is for 1260 days. Three and a half years is 1278.347697 days. This is 18 days more that the allotted testimony of these witnesses. In light of Matthew 24:22 we note that these "times" may well be "cut short" by 18 days. If this is correct, then the human race will be a mere 18 days shy of global annihilation when haMoshiach vanquishes his enemies in Jerusalem and Megiddo! No one will ever be able to argue that humanity was not given every opportunity to redeem itself!

The word "witnesses" as used here is translated from the Greek martus and is used in the sense of testifying before a legally sanctioned court of law. As discussed at the outset of this study, the setting presented by Navi John in this book is that of a courtroom. Much of the Bible is set in this metaphorical environment to reveal the significant role played by the human race in these proceedings. It is humanity that will settle the legal challenge concerning the justness of HaShem's dealings with His creation. This is the answer to "why" a loving and just God allows evil in the world.

This case has been before the High Court for a very long time. Myriad witnesses have now testified, human history, for good and ill, has been entered into evidence for consideration by the Judge of judges in the presence of the Twenty Four Elders (Revelation 4:4). The "case before the bench" concerns the resolution of Lucifer's challenge recorded in the Book of Job.

The Closing Testimony Begins

The decisive closing testimony before the Court provided by these two witnesses -- along with that of the 144,000 Israelites, the "Great Multitude of Goyim" who embrace haMelekh, and of the holy martyrs -- will conclude after one thousand two hundred sixty days. This is same as the remaining forty-two months or three and half years that sees the Holy City again trodden under the feet of the Gentiles (compare Matthew 24:15-20). Once this testimony is complete and the Judge has ruled, Jerusalem will be restored, the Temple (or Beit HaMikdash) will be re-dedicated and haMoshiach will take his seat on the Throne of his ancestor David (Isaiah 11:1,2 etc.).

What these two witnesses will testify will sadden and sicken them. Humanity had such potential! How horribly the human and celestial races have suffered due their participation in the Rebellion (Psalm 82)! These nevi'im will accurately bear witness against the people of the earth for destroying the environment rather than nurturing it (Genesis 1:26-28, Isaiah 11, Revelation 11:18), for waging unjust wars and genocides (Isaiah 11:6), for slaughtering over a billion unborn children through abortion (Jeremiah 2:34, 19:4), for allowing human beings (and animals) to needlessly suffer and die from diseases (many intentionally created in laboratories)! Doubtless these righteous witnesses will condemn the global culture of greed and corporatism that has left much of the world's inhabitants enslaved (I Peter 5:2), literally or as underpaid "wage slaves."

The Elite who govern this planet (II Corinthians 4:4) care nothing for the sanctity of life and yet they are not solely to blame for the evils they advance! They maintain their positions because the "Inhabitants of the Land" have relinquished personal responsibility. The ruling globalist philosophies and sentiments are anti-humanity and anti-God and yet, the majority of people willing submit to their rule! Consider this example from late term abortionist Warren Hern:

"The human species is an example of a malignant ecotumor, an uncontrolled proliferation of a single species that threatens the existence of other species in their habitats..... The idea that the human population is a planetary cancer is a profoundly disturbing conclusion, but the observations of the scientific community over the last 20 years have provided massive support this hypothesis and little, if anything, to refute it."

This contempt for life is typical of the Elite. Many similar quotes could be shared. That this man enjoys murdering children makes his views particularly reprehensible.

Great Babylon

The Two Witnesses will shine the light of Torah on all the evils of humanity and none will be found guiltless! All the world will stand judged for crimes against humanity and against our Creator.

The Two Witnesses will point accusing fingers at the New World Order leaders of the planet who, like the first planetary emperor of the age Nimrod, have set themselves up in opposition to HaShem (Genesis 10:9). Like Nimrod the New World Order Elite are building a metaphorical ziggurat or tower to reach the very heavens in open defiance of HaShem and His Torah(Genesis 11:4).

And HaShem's response will be the same!

The Two Witnesses and their associates will publicly declare that Melekh ben David will soon bring this godless civilization down to its knees! The Two Witnesses, the Twenty Four Elders, the Four Living Creatures, the Martyrs, the 144,000 Israelites and the Great Multitude of Gentiles from every tongue, tribe and former nation, all serving haMelekh, will unite and loudly proclaim:

"Amen! Righteous and True are the Judgments of our God!"

... And Rex Mundi and his global government will attempt to silence them all!

Like modern day Noahs the Two Witnesses and their associates will deliver HaShem's righteous judgments upon the Tribulation generation! They will find no joy in their work. Indeed, the prophet tells us they will be dressed in sackcloth and ashes, the garments of mourning. Yet these judgments must come before haMoshiach can introduce the Thousand Year Kingdom of HaShem and restore the Blessing of God to righteous inhabitants of the planet. The remaining tzadikim of the 144,000 and the Goyim multitude will join with these Two Witnesses in condemning Lucifer and his minions as well as human complicity with the Rebellion. They will continue their warnings undaunted for as long as HaShem sees fit to allow them the breath of life! Nothing will silence them short of death!

Like the prophets of old, the Two Witnesses will make that which is hidden known to everyone! The plans of the Bavarian Illuminati and the traitors of every nation will be publicly exposed. The Secret Government will be forced into the light of day and the people will behold their leaders standing "naked" before them as in Hans Christian Andersen's tale The Emperor's New Clothes.

Its worth noting in passing that Andersen's tale was taken from Libro de los ejemplos by Juan Manuel, the Prince of Villena (published in 1335). In the original version ones inability to see the Emperor's new clothes meant that one was a mamzer, or any man not the son of his presumed father. This analogy seems note worthy since the Rex Mundi will claim HaShem as his father but will actually be a son of haShaitan!

Identifying the Two Witnesses

Concerning the Two Witnesses Navi John continues:

Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two menorahs, standing before the Lord of the earth.

So now we come to the logical question: who are these two prophets? Will we recognize them when they arrive on the scene? We are told that they are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks or menorahs who stand before HaShem. This reveals a bit about their identities. Consider the following:

Zechariah 4:1 The angel who talked with me came again, and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.
4:2 He said to me, "What do you see?"
I said, "I have seen, and behold, a menorah all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it;
4:3 and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it."
4:4 I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying,"What are these, my lord?"
4:5 Then the angel who talked with me answered, "Don't you know what these are?"
I said, "No, my lord"...
4:11 Then I asked him, "What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?
4:12 I asked him the second time, "What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?"
4:13 He answered me, "Don't you know what these are?" I said, "No, my lord."
4:14 Then he said, "These are the two anointed ones [literally: ben yitshar: "anointed builders of the family" (of people Israel)] who stand with [in service to] the Lord of the whole earth."
The English word "anointed" is the literal translation of the Greek word "christ" or christos. "Christos" seeks to translate the Hebrew word moshiach. As ben yitshar (the term used here) the Two Witnesses are and will be specially anointed Jews who have been/are instrumental in the building and protection of People Israel. The word yitshar in this regard refers to their having had the oil of anointing poured upon their heads. These two men remain ever before the Celestial Throne of HaShem awaiting His orders.

We can not say for certain who these two prophets will be or may have been in the past. They may not even know! Some conjecture they are Moses and Elijah, others say Daniel and/or perhaps David or some other faithful servant. We simply are not told. According to the texts we have considered, we do know that these particular servants of HaShem have lived and served Him in the past and that they are alive today and ready to fulfill their next assignment.
