Unity, by the O'Jays
On Thursdays at 8 PM Eastern, we are currently doing a deep dive into the Book of Enoch. It's essential to recognize that this book can be perceived as a confirmation of negativity. But this is not how I hope we will view it. Yes, most of the prophets warn of the tribulation that is coming upon the earth. Yeshua described it in Matthew 24 as a time of tribulation beyond any ever experienced, John goes farther in his Book of Revelation. Enoch highlights this coming tribulation as well. But, know that even within this tribulation there will be Divine Light for those with faith in One God! The Light of Divine Love. The Song of Redemption. Those who love will endure, whether through death or life. Understand that this coming Great Tribulation is but the portal to a new life of love and joy beyond all conception. It will be a cleansing of the old to bring in the new. It is nothing more. But it will help if we are prepared.
Much of what we know about the near future is known through the prophets, especially the biblical prophets and others, like Enoch who prophecies were not including in the Jewish or Christian cannons.
Those who follow a biblical know that the evening of Sunday, June 1, 2025, tonight, through Tuesday, June 3, is a two-day holiday named Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks. This Yom Tov or Good Day concludes the annual Counting of the Omer that began on the second night of Pesach or Passover, hence, in part, the name. Rabbinic Jews say Shavuot also commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.
The Parsha (weekly Torah reading) for Shavuot includes portions from Exodus 19 and 20, and Numbers 28. Specifically, the reading on the first day includes Exodus 19:1-20:23. On the second day, Deuteronomy 15:19 - 16:17. The Haftarah (prophetic reading) for the first day is Ezekiel 1:1-28, 3:12. Those familiar with Ezekiel know that in this reading there is dicussion of the Merkaba or Divine Cheriot, that is so important to Jewish mystical thought. May all those celebrating the day be blessed in all ways.
We can learn from these readings. All of the Israelites were treated as equal. They were all equally members of the Sinai Covenant. So why do so many Jews reject their fellow Jews today in open defiance of the Torah and consider themselves to be righteous thereby?
It was such holier than thou foolishness of the Rabbinate that led to the destruction of the Second Temple. And it's still common today among the Rabbinate and others, Orthodox and non-Orthodox. We are ALL God's people. YOU are God's own child! It doesn't matter what anyone else says that!
According to biblical Judaism, One God chose, appointed, and anointed each and every one of us both individually and collectively to be the nation of priests to share love with the Gentiles. The Gentiles were chosen to accept One God's leadership and together to bring in the world we all want to see. A world of equality, hope, joy, love, and light. All together!
Many people talk right but do not follow up their talk with positive actions.
One time this boy, ten or eleven years old, was on his bike on the top of a steep hill. He'd never ridden down that hill before, but this day he dtermined he would do it.
Finding his courage he took off down the hill. The hill was steep and he was going faster and faster than he had evr gone before and he was loving it... until...
His tire hit a rock and his handlebars turned, and the bike carreened into a park car! The boy landed hard. Standing up he saw that his crash had dented the care, torn a hole in his new pants, and a trickle of blood was flowing down his arm. "Well I'll be damned!" the boy declared.
A retired pastor was sitting on his front porch anxd watching the whole thing. He walked over to the boy and said, "Son, don't ever say that! say Praise God! Hallelujah!"
"But look at that dent! And ... My dad's going be so angry!
Nah, push your bike back up that hill and do it right this time.
And the boy did. Looking fown the hill the boy gulped, raised his arms in the air and said, "Praise God! Hallelujah!" Then he took off down the hill going faster than before. He slowed down as he neared the bottom of the hill and pulled his bike to where retured minister stood clapping his hands.
The minister looked over at the car and saw that the dent was gone! The rip in the boy's pants was gone! There was no cut on his arm!
Well I'll be damned! said the minister."Mouthing spiritual platitudes is not enough! We must embody them. What does it mean to embody something? We must take what we know to be true and sacred into our bodies, into our minds. KNOW that we are all One Body, One Human Family! In Matthew 15 Yeshua told those who said the right words but neither believed nor practiced them: Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you [in Isaiah 29:13], saying:
βThese people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
It is in vain that they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.ββ
Yeshua was referring to the Rabbinic elevation of the Oral Torah commentary over the Written Scripture of Moshe upon which biblical Judaism was based. But the meaning goes even farther. Our ideologies and belief systems often override what we inwardly know to be true. Following what is not true leads to hypocrisy and even Atheism when our belief systems fail.
Rabbi and prophet Nachman of Breslov warned:
Great atheism is coming to the world as a test from on high. The world's many sins are causing a terrible lack of faith. Happy is the person who stays firm in faith in these times.
The fact that I am predicting this will not prevent the increase of Godlessness and confusion. Long ago Daniel and others made it known that this would happen in the days before the final Redemption. "Many will purify themselves and be refined, and make themselves shining white. But the wicked will do evil. and only the wise shall understand" (Daniel 12:10 ).
Knowing that this has already been foreseen, it would seem that it should not be such a great trial for people to remain strong and firm in their faith. But the truth is that even though the prophets made this known long ago, it will still be a great trial. Many will fall by the way , and that is why it is written: "the wicked will do evil."
I am revealing this for the sake of the few pure souls who will remain firm in their faith. They will certainly face great battles even in their own minds. But when they see that this has already been predicted, it will give them greater strength and encouragement (Sichot Haran #35).
Shavuot is a time of new beginnings. We can pretend that everything is just fine and bury our heads in the sand, as many do, or we can act like responsible people, realize and acknoledge our errors, and work to repair ourselves and our world! IF we return to God, God will rescue us all. If not, the Talmudic Book of Sanhedrin Folio 97a gives a most dire warning:
Rabbi Yochanan said: in the generation when the son of David [i.e., the Messiah] will come, [true] scholars will be few, and as for the rest [i.e., the hypocritical fake scholars who seek to exact as much as possible from the letter of the Torah], their eyes will fail through sorrow and grief. Multitudes of trouble and evil decrees will be promulgated anew, each new evil coming with haste before the other has ended.'
Sanhedrin 97b: Rab said: All the predestined dates [for the Redemption] have passed. The matter [now] depends only on repentance and good deeds.
Rabbi Eliezer said that if Israel repents, they will be redeemed; if they do not, they will not be.
Rabbi Yoshua [disagreed and] said, If they do not repent, will they not be redeemed? [i.e., Not so] because the Holy One, blessed be He, will set up a king over them, whose decrees shall be as cruel as Haman's, whereby Israel shall engage in repentance, and He will thus bring them back to the right path [or "derech"].
This One Crueler than Haman is the one Christians call the Son of Perdition and Anti-Christ. He IS on his way but he CAN be stoped if we act in time. The choice to come to One God belongs to ALL people, but especially to the Jews as the fallen Nation of Priests! May we ALL be the emissaries of Peace this Shavuot and may the Rabbinate especially wake up and come to teshuvah or repentance before the coming of the Man Crueler than Haman arises. May One God show mercy to us all and send the true Messiah!
BUT, even then, remember: If you hear the Messiah has arrived, finish your gardening, only then go see him. Why? Because Messiah has a job to do, AND SO DO WE! He will do his, but we must do ours! What is our job? To promote peace, love and justice for all from our hearts. Our job is to awaken to our divine potentials. May the Song of Redemption be revealed to each of us! And may the Holy One open our eyes and grant us all true Sight. May we be like Enoch:
We turn in our Song Book to page 47. Our desire and our prayer is for all hatred and needless division to cease. Truly We Are One In The Spirit of One God. May we find unity and peace.
Despite our divisions there is much unity. Focus on ur similarities, not differences! And:
We invite you to share your prayers with us and with God now. Hold those you would pray for in your heart and release them to GOD for healing and blessing as we sing, The Lord Bless you.
May One God hear our prayers and respond favorably to us.
