Opening Prayer

Pliny the Elder, a first-century Roman philosopher, taught that Home is Where the Heart is." Not mthat exact quote, but he realized that one's true home is defined by an emotional connection, not just location. People downplay the role of the emotions. Many believe that GOD is only an intellictual concept, or an anti-intellectual concept, but GOD is more! Always more. GOD Name is literally etched within our DNA. We can feel GOD. We can know GOD, both within and without. But our culture stresses the intellect and things written in books to the point where most people fail to listen to the Voice within their own GOD created and given consciouness. That where you'll find GOD, not through rule and rote prayers, not in books of paper, but in books of flesh!/

GOD is found in family and friends. GOD is found in community. GOD is found in giving and loving and in caring. GOD may be found behind stain glass windows, but GOD is found everywhere, as long as our heart and GOD's heart are there.

Sometimes this life is hard. As the Buddha said, life is always suffering, even in the best of times, but when we walk the road with others, with those who love us and those whomwe love, many of the rough spots are smoothed out and those that are not are more easily traversed. Blessed are those who lean upon others. While we make our way to our eternal Home, with love, we can make this place our home.

That way, we always have a place to come home to. We come home to our community, we come home to our family. We come home to loved one and then, when the time comes, we come Home to GOD.

Once you find you true family, bethey of blood, the heart are both, hold on to then! Don't let go. And as you come to know GOD ever more intimately within you heart, never let go! Hold onto to what you know is true, even as you seek to better, more completely know GOD. Because whatever you know of GOD, GOD is more! Always more! Never surrender your desire to draw ever closer to the One Who loves you more than you love yourself.

Despite the mistakes you've made so far, despite the hurts you can't undo and the tears you cannot uncry, despite everything know, you can come home again. To you your true Home. The home I grew up in now has new residents. My mom and dad have both passed on. My brother and sister have grow and changed, so have I. We're not the people we used to be. But GOD has not changed! Only my understanding has. Only your understanding has. Our knowledge and experiences with GOD have deepened, matured, but GOD has not changed. God's Love for you has not changed. GOD's compassion for you has not changed. We can go Home to GOD. And when we do, we'll find our Beloved waiting for us.

And when, as the Prdigal Child of Yeshua's parable do finally return Home we will realize that we share something amazing with GOD! We literally, biologically, share GOD's DNA! We ARE teh children of GOD! As John, the Beloved explained at I John 3:2: Beloved, NOW are we the Children of GOD! It doesn't yet appear to us what we will be: but we know that, when GOD's Presence appears within us, we will be like GOD and we will see GOD as GOD truly is.

This means that GOD is Family and that we are literally the Children of GOD! We've got Daddy's DNA coursing through our physical and spiritual veins!

So let's go HOME! Let's right what we can, forgive what we can, come together with each other and with GOD!
