The Revelation

Having presented the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet and showing us the dawning of the Messianic Kingdom where:

11:15 The seventh angel sounded; there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of this world has become [the kingdom] of our God, and of His Mashiach: and he will reign forever and ever.

Yochanan now takes us back to the beginning of the Seven Years much as the Book of Deuteronomy often returns us to the events of the Exodus forty years prior so that we can behold and appreciate the significance of the birth pangs of the Kingdom as they occur.

In this commentary on The Revelation, there are three main areas where I expect key disagreements with many Nicene Christian readers. First is my identification of the Nicolaitan Heresy as the usurpation of the Jewish Way sect by Roman Pagans who created the religion of Christianity. Most Nicean Christians will not be pleased to hear this information. Second is my rejection of the Rapture theory, and third is my presentation of the identity of the woman and her children in this chapter. I invite those considering this commentary to offer opposing or supporting views in all three cases.

Once we are clearly in the Tribulation Period, these three points will seem less important than they do now. Our focus on emunah and survival will replace our fascination with philosophical and theological theories. Whatever is true will be confirmed. When I originally wrote this study, the War of Magog seemed far in the future and almost unimaginable. That the United States would ever become a Communist dictatorship and then fall was inconceivable to most people, but I've predicted this since the 1970s, based on prophecy; now, in 2023, it is pretty likely that the War of Magog has begun with the Russian (Magog) invasion of Ukraine and the apparent intention of the US government to turn this conflict into World War Three and destroy itself. We, this generation, likely will experience everything recorded in this book, which is why I, a Jewish Rabbi, am sharing this material. I advise everyone to be like the first-century Bereans in the Book of Acts. Read these teachings with an open mind, and then search the scriptures to determine whether these things are so (Acts 17:10,11). You will probably agree with my basic interpretations if you do this.

We continue into chapter twelve:

12:1 And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;

Who is this woman? It seems obvious from a Jewish and contextual perspective: Israel and her twelve houses. Of Israel, the Jewish people HaShem says:

Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritances, He separated them into set communities. He set the people's boundaries according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 For Adonai's portion is His people; Ya'akov (Jacob/Israel) is the lot of His inheritance.
10 Adonai found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. Adonai encircled him and cared for him; He kept him as the apple of His eye.
11 As an eagle stirs up her nest and flutters over her young, so He spread abroad His wings, He took them, He bares them on His pinions.
12 Adonai alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.

This "woman" can only be Israel. Note how our entire people are referred to singularly here. The twelve stars are the twelve tribes. In this context, the Sun is Abraham, and the Moon is Sarah. Those coming through the lineage of Sarah's servant Hagar are not included in this blessing, as Scripture makes clear. Only those who come through Avraham's son Ya'akov (whose name HaShem changed to Israel) are the Chosen People of Adonai. The people collectively known as Israel are uniquely "the apple of HaShem's Eye." Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel) is our eternal Homeland to which our souls are bound, and Jerusalem is our capital city. All that remains of the original twelve houses are the Jews, so the Covenant resides only with us. HaShem will bless those who bless the Jews, and those who oppose them will be cursed (Gen 12:1-3).

By God's Providence, the ten Northern Houses of Israel (collectively known as Ephraim) disappeared from history due to spiritual adultery as described in II Kings 17:18. HaShem chose the Southern Kingdoms of Judah and Benjamin to maintain the eternal Covenant. Eventually, similar failings by them caused Judah (with Benjamin) to fall as well. Still, Judah was never 'divorced' by HaShem, as was Ephraim, although He did chastise them: "...there was none left but the tribe of Judah only," says II Kings 17:18.

And I saw, because of all that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I sent her away and gave her her bill of divorcement, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, did not fear. She also played the harlot (Jeremiah 3:8).

This experience was a culling of the people by HaShem. It demonstrated the importance of loyalty and obedience to His Torah and established that HaShem is sovereign in the affairs of Israel as He is over all humanity. He builds up or removes governments as He desires (Daniel 4:17). Concerning Israel, HaShem favored Judah and secured their continued existence as His Elect. From then on, the Covenant and Promise passed only through Judah (and Benjamin), who became one people known as the Yehudim or Jews.

On the other hand, HaShem will remember the people of the Ten Houses forever. Once the Messiah is ruling, HaShem will restore the Ten Houses under the authority of Judah and 'the Lion of the House of Judah,' the Messiah. Through this process, HaShem will restore the United Kingdom of Israel under the reign of Melech HaMashiach ben David and the world through United Israel. (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 3:6-18; Hosea 1-3; Amos 9:8-10; Obadia 15-21; Micah 2:12-13; 5:3-15; Zechariah 8:13; 9 & 10; Ezekiel 34-37).

The prophecies are clear that Israel's Messiah will restore the Beit HaMikdash, the Temple or literally, "House of the Holy," for the third and final time. Yeshua ben Miriam foretold the destruction of the Second Temple, which happened about thirty years after his death. He did not establish it. Rather, he reportedly taught that at the end of days, Israel would put forth its leaves again and become a mighty nation (Matthew 24:32). He said that Israel would not return suddenly under the reign of Mashiach as many expected, but gradually, as a tree putting forth its leaves and sending out sprouts. Yochanan here is describing how Israel, the woman, will give birth to the Olam Haba and its Messiah.

At this point, a bit of relevant history is in order: King David's United Kingdom of Israel was divided after his son and heir, King Shlomo or Solomon, died circa 931 B.C.E.

Due to its ongoing disobedience, avodah zara (foreign worship), and lack of emunah in Him, HaShem allowed the Northern Kingdom of Israel to fall to Assyria in 721 B.C.E. Ephraim, as the Northern Kingdom was known collectively, was utterly destroyed. Its people were scattered across the earth, even as far as the South-Eastern United States, where they mingled with the Cherokee and other continental first nations.

Even witnessing God's fierce judgments on the North, Judah refused to repent of its sins, and the Southern Kingdom fell to Babylon in 586 B.C.E.

From 586 B.C.E. onward, there was no independent Israel, other than briefly under the Maccabean rebellion and the Roman response to it, until Israel's rebirth on May 14th, 1948. During Yeshua's life, circa 7 BCE to 26 CE, Israel was the Roman Province of Judea, often called Philistia, from which comes the place name Palestine. Historically, only the Jews were called Palestinians until the Arabs usurped the name in the 1930s. Jerusalem, the capital of the Southern Jewish Kingdom of Judah, was occupied territory in the first century when Yochanan was writing.

After the Babylonian captivity, about half of the captured and enslaved Jews of the Southern Kingdom returned to Eretz Israel. Today's Jews mostly descend from these Jews, their offspring, and converts. As for the Israelites of the Northern Ten Houses, they have largely disappeared from history, although their descendants can be identified among certain Arab tribes like the Pashtun, certain Africans like the Igbo, and Native American tribes like the Cherokee and Seminole. There's a lot of speculation about the "lost ten tribes." During the reign of Mashiach ben Yosef, the Ten Houses will be accurately identified and restored. One of the most exciting things we will experience during the early Messianic restoration period will be when Mashiach identifies the Israelites, and we learn our house connections.

Prophet Daniel, living under the reign of Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, gives us important information. In my commentary on his prophecy, I cover this material in more detail; for now, however, note this important prophecy:

Daniel 4:10 Thus were the visions of my head upon my bed: I saw, and, behold, a tree in the midst of the earth; and its height was immense.
4:11 The tree grew, and was strong, its height reached into the heavens, and its sight to the end of all the earth.
4:12 Its leaves were fair, and its fruit was much, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh fed from it.
4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from heaven.
4:14 He cried aloud and said, Cut down the tree and its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from its branches.
4:15 Nevertheless leave its stump of roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it become wet with the dew of heaven: and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth.
4:16 Let his heart be transformed from human and let a beast's heart be given to him. Let seven times pass over him.
4:17 This sentence is by the decree of the watchers. It is demanded by the word of the holy ones with the intention that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of humanity and gives it to whomsoever He desires. He sets up over it, even the lowest of people.

Nebuchadnezzar was King of the mighty Babylonian Empire at this time. He was a powerful and arrogant man with a penchant for mysticism. He was a firm believer in dreams and visions. The above is his dream. He shared it with many people but only accepted Daniel's interpretation.

Prophet Daniel (or Belteshazzar as the king called him) was summoned to interpret this dream. Without going into too much detail here, the prophecies and interpretations of Daniel often have dual fulfillments. This was such a dream. The dream became a reality when the king went mad for seven years and then returned to his senses, but just as we saw with the Seven Congregations, this prophecy had a dual purpose and meaning. For our present purposes, we are concerned with the greater fulfillment, as was Yochanan.

Under King Nebuchadnezzar, the Jewish people lost their remaining earthly kingdom, Judah. In this study, we have discussed the image of Israel as a tree in Romans 11. There, the "grafted-on" Gentile branches are threatened with severance from the Tree of Israel for abandoning the Way sect teachings. Of course, this happened under the Roman-Nocolaitan usurpation of the Jewish sect. The Tree analogy deals with Israel as a political entity, not a spiritual one (although these are interwoven).

As Israel began putting forth its leaves in 1948, Nicean Christianity and traditional belief in God began fading. The Laodecian period - discussed in chapters two and three - continues. Like many Jews, many Christians are becoming so assimilated into the rising Nephilim-Globalist culture that they are being 'vomited out' from God's presence, as Yochanan described it. Only a remnant will remain faithful by the time these prophecies are completed. The same tree image is used here.

Like a tree, the Kingdom of Israel was "chopped down" by the Will of HaShem due to Israelite disobedience and lack of emunah. However, HaShem controls all things, especially concerning Israel. While we have individual and collective freedom, HaShem has always been active in human affairs, so His deliverance methods will be ready when the time comes.

As candidly recorded in the Tanach, the Israelites were not ready to accept the Kingship of HaShem then, so He "banded" the "stump of the tree of Israel" so that it would not grow again until the end of days: likely our days as Israel's return indicates. The Covenant with Israel is eternal, but with the loss of the Second Temple in 70 CE, biblical Judaism could no longer be practiced. It was 'banded.' From seventy CE and continuing, "Rabbinic Judaism" maintains the Covenant. As we've discussed, Rabbinic Judaism is roughly the same age as Christianity. Rabbinic Judaism and Catholic Christianity arose from the biblical monotheism espoused by Avraham, Yitzhak, and Ya'akov. With the loss of our Temple, we lost much of biblical Judaism and the Way sect of Yeshua and his talmidim. The establishment of the Christian religion by Emperor Constantine and Rabbinic Judaism by the Pharisees fundamentally altered the biblical Way of God. However, once Mashiach ben David is crowned, and Third Beit HaMikdash is built and sanctified, Judaism will again become One, and our diverse conceptions of God will become one (Jeremiah 31:34 and I Corinthians 15:28).

In 1948 (or arguably 1967) the essential End Time prophecy was fulfilled. God partially removed the bands on the Tree of Israel, and the tree began to sprout. Those who understood the prophecies before this happened knew the End Times had not yet arrived, as Paul cautions in I Thessalonians 2:1,2, but it was drawing closer. Yeshua said he didn't know when this would happen either (Mark 13:32). He said only God knew, confirming his humanity. Those who failed to understand this key point fundamentally erred in their interpretations and, in many cases, caused grave harm.

HaShem removed the bands from the tree in 1947, and Israel gradually began to put forth leaves. Thus far, Israel is only partially restored. Only part of Eretz Yisrael is under Israeli control, and the country remains a democratic republic rather than the foretold theocracy. Although we at Beit Emunah are "Religious Zionists," this point must be understood correctly. Most of Israel's modern leaders have bent their knees to the UN, the US, and Globalism. Rather than standing firm as the Nation of HaShem, modern Israel remains a political state under Globalist domination. However, as Yeshua taught:

Matthew 24:31 And He [HaShem] will send forth His angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch becomes tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near;
33 Likewise, when you see all these things, know that he [Mashiach] is close, even at the doors.
34 Verily, I say to you, the generation that sees these things will only pass away once all these things happen.
35 Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

We now see the Tree of Israel putting forth her leaves. This process began in 1948 with the nation's rebirth for the first time since 586 B.C.E. Some argue it began with the Balfour Declaration in 1917, while others say 1967 when the new country took back Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. In any case, Yeshua predicted that the generation that witnesses this event will be the one in which the Mashiach will gather all the Jews back to Israel, sound the Seventh Trumpet (as we have been discussing), and establish the Kingdom of the Olam Haba.

Possible dates based on Yeshua's statement:

• 1914 or 1917: 106 based on his Matthew 24 prediction of the two world wars.
• 1948: 76 years ago as of this update: Possible, time is getting short if correct.
• 1967: 56 years ago as of the time of this update: Possible, time is getting short.

Biblically, a generation is either 40 or 70 years, depending on the context.

If one assumes Yeshua was an empowered prophet, then one of these three dates should be correct. In all cases, the target generation is getting old. Regardless, this will happen according to God's timing, not man's. Mashiach ben Yosef will defeat the New World Order and its coming Rex Mundi in Israel. Mashiach ben David will take to the Throne of his father David, the Seventh Trumpet will be sounded, and the Olam Haba will begin. The details remain fluid at this time.

On November 2nd, 1917, the Balfour Declaration declared by the authority of the UK that Israel would be reborn on our Land. World War One interrupted those plans. World War Two pushed them back ever further. However, the Jewish hope and intention remained strong.

On May 14th, 1948, that intention became a reality, and the Tree of Israel (Daniel 4:10, Matthew 24:32, Romans 11) began putting forth its leaves.

From 1948 until 1967, West Jerusalem served as Israel's capital but was not recognized as such internationally because UN General Assembly Resolution 194 envisioned stealing Jerusalem and making it an international city. For this reason, the Globalists recognized Tel Aviv as Israel's capital even though Jerusalem is Israel's eternal capital. American President Donald J. Trump corrected this to his great and lasting credit.

Due to the Six-Day War of 1967, Jerusalem came under Israeli control. Because of a few verses regarding Zion, some believe the date 1967 for the 'unbinding' is more accurate than the 1948 date for fulfilling Yeshua's prophecy. On June 27th, 1967, the government of Levi Eshkol extended Israeli law and jurisdiction to East Jerusalem but unfortunately ceded practical control of the Temple Mount compound to the Jordanian waqf under the Jordanian Ministry of Religious Endowments. Today, Muslims frequently desecrate the Holy Temple Mount and look for hidden treasures beneath it, including, they hope, the Ark of the Covenant.

We continue:

12:2 and she [Israel] was with child; and she cried out, travailing in birth, in pain to be delivered.

Israel began putting forth her leaves, so to speak, in 1948, but the foretold kingdom of Israel discussed here still needs to be created. Modern Israel is the precursor of the Theocratic Kingdom of HaShem, not that kingdom itself. World War One (Matthew 24:6) began the birth pangs. In 1947, the baby's head could be seen emerging from its Mother; however, not until Mashiach ben David approaches the Throne of HaShem, reaches out his hand, and takes the Seven Sealed Scrolls and the Seventh Shofar is sounded will this prophecy be fulfilled and not before. Mashiach's taking up his destiny was previously described with these words:

Revelation 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and loosen the seals thereof?
5:3 And no one in the heaven, on the earth, or under the earth, could open the book, or look thereon.
5:4 And I wept much because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look thereon.
5:5 One of the elders said to me, Weep not; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome to open the book and its seven seals.
6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures, and amid the elders, a lamb standing, as though slain. It had seven horns and seven eyes. These are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came, and he took it out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before the lamb; each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

A very long labor indeed!

12:3 And there was another sign in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems.
12:4 His tail drew a third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman that was about to be delivered so that when she delivered, he could devour her child.

What happens here is clear in context.

First, the identity of the lamb. Some readers will assume this is speaking of Yeshua without questioning it. The description, however, makes no sense even for those who believe Yeshua will be the Messiah. What is being referenced by the seven horns and seven eyes? He had two eyes and no horns. The context tells us. "These are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth." We saw these seven spirits earlier. Consistency of interpretation suggests that the lamb is the symbol of sacrifice. The seven spirits of God are those who watch over humanity, especially seeking and protecting those who serve God.

According to a midrash, "All sevens are beloved ": There are seven terms for the heavens and seven terms for the earth; Enoch was the seventh generation from Adam; Moses was the seventh generation from Abraham; David was the seventh son in his family; Asa (who called out to God) was the seventh generation of Israelite kings; the seventh day (Shabbat), month (Tishrei), year (shmita) and shmita (jubilee) all have special religious status (Leviticus Rabbah 29:11). There are Seven Laws of Noah, the counting of the Omer consists of seven weeks, each of seven days. There are seven blessings in the Sheva Brachot. A woman in niddah following menstruation must count seven "clean days" before immersing in the mikvah. A sevenfold sprinkling accompanied acts of atonement and purification in the Temple. The menorah in the Temple had seven lamps. The shiva mourning period is seven days. There are seven days of Sukkot and Pesach (in Israel). There are seven blessings in the Amidah of Shabbat, Yom Tov, and all Musaf prayers (except Rosh Hashanah). Traditional synagogues make seven aliyot on Shabbat. Seven of every pure animal entered Noah's Ark.

The number seven symbolizes completion, association with God, or the covenant of holiness and sanctification. Moses died on the seventh of Adar, and there are seven days in the weekly cycle, including when counting to and from Shabbat.

At this point in the prophetic timeline, Israel, like a sacrificed lamb, as the Suffering Servant, will have completed its mission and responsibility to the world.

As Israel is reborn, the Nephilim-spawned Globalists prepare for the final showdown. They are elevating their power over all nations with a specially focused eye turned to Israel. They are bidding their time until the moment of their all-out attack on Judaism and world Jewry. Yochanan is describing these events.

The Nephilim-spawned Red Dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his head, refers to the ancient Order of the Defeated Dragon of the Merovingian Elite. As I discussed in my talk From the Nephilim to Magog, since the days of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel globalist forces have been working to destroy humanity. This effort is now coming to a head. For more on this, see my study The Image of the Beast. The image is that of House Merovingian, which controls the developing Globalist Empire over which Rex Mundi will soon reign.

The great red dragon is called Lucifer, god of the Global Elite of the Order of the Defeated Dragon and the Merovingian controlled Novus Ordo Seclorum.

Order of the Defeated Dragon - Merovingian Bloodline

We now look back to Revelation 6:1 for a moment to get our bearing. As we saw there, as the Mashiach opened the First Sealed Scroll, the Rex Mundi, seated on his white war stallion, advanced onto the world stage. Yochanan is introducing this here using different symbolism than we saw earlier. His earlier description focused on matters on the Earth. This description reveals the scenes unfolding in the celestial realms of the Merkaba.

Note that Mashiach is no humble baby being born here! He is the leader of HaShem's Celestial Forces! He is opening the Seven Seals in the Merkaba and revealing the previously hidden plans of HaShem sealed by Daniel (Daniel 12:4). This child is the Kingdom of HaShem, being born through the sufferings of the Jewish people throughout the ages. As this kingdom "child" is being delivered, the Globalists will do anything to destroy it, but God will protect the child.

12:5a And she was delivered of a son, a man child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron:

Again, this is not a gentle itinerant preacher but a powerful general and monarch who will arise from Israel. Under his direction, Mashiach ben Yosef will have established Israel in all the lands promised to Abraham and his descendants. Ben Yosef will present the Land of Israel to Mashiach ben David. Mashiach ben David will then conquer the entire world without firing a single bullet - Siach Sarfey Kodesh 1-67. This miracle will happen as HaShem writes His Torah into the human consciousness.

No longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. I will forgive their iniquity and remember their sin no more - Jeremiah 31:34 and repeated at Hebrew 8:11.

Once Israel is living in peace, Mashiach ben David will inspire the world, as Rebbe Nachman of Breslov explains:

Mashiach will conquer the world only through simple people who recite the Psalms sincerely.

You may understand this through a parable about a king who went hunting dressed in ordinary clothing for greater comfort. A sudden cloud burst, a literal flood of water, sent all the ministers scattering in search of shelter. The king was in great danger but finally found a villager's house, who invited him inside with great honor, dressed him in warm clothes, and gave him simple peasant food, lighting a fire and leaving him there to sleep and warm up. The king was so exhausted that the food and rest in the peasant's home were the sweetest delight, the like of which he felt he had never tasted.

The ministers searched for the king until they came to the peasant's house and found the king asleep. They waited until he awoke. They wanted him to return home with them, but the king said, "None of you came to save me: you all scattered in different directions to save yourselves! Only this peasant saved me. Since I have tasted the sweetest delight with him, he will bring me home in his wagon, and I will sit on my royal throne in the very clothes in which he dressed me!

Likewise, just before Mashiach comes, there will be a flood of atheism - not a literal flood of water but one of strange thoughts that will cover all the "high mountains," even in the land of Israel, which was not affected by Noah's flood. The rains will teem down with such force that even the "mountains of Israel "will be drenched - even the hearts of the pure will be affected.

Wisdom and sophistication will be of no avail. The only ones who will hold firm are the simple Jews who recite Psalms simply and sincerely. That is why, when the Mashiach comes, they will be the ones who place the royal crown on his head - Sipurim Niflaim.

Under ben David's reign, Israel will become the foretold Theocratic Kingdom of HaShem as it awaits its king. Mashiach ben David will then come and rule as Shiloh, sitting as king upon the throne of David at Jerusalem. May this happen soon.

There will be one united Kingdom of Israel and various Gentile countries during the Millennial Kingdom period. These semi-independent lands will voluntarily submit to the overlordship of HaShem and His Mashiach once they realize the truth of the Torah and its divine author. Of the other nations, we read:

Zechariah 8:1 And the word of Adonai Tzva'ot came to me, saying,
2 Thus says Adonai Tzva'ot: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.
3 Thus says Adonai: I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The City of Truth; and the Mountain of Adonai Tzva'o...

The Name Adonai Tzva'ot, or Lord of Armies, indicates here that HaShem, through His servants, has now conquered all earthly powers. He alone controls all the earth through His Mashiach and other servants.

Jeremiah 8:22 Indeed, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Adonai Tzva'ot in Jerusalem and to seek the favor of Adonai.
8:23 Thus says Adonai Tzva'ot: It will come to pass in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold of the hem the Jews and say, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

This process of sincere Gentiles coming to the Jews is underway. We continue with our Revelation text:

12:5b and her child was caught up to God, and unto his throne.
12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God. They will nourish her there for a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Antisemitism will reach levels never before seen during this period as the Globalists seek to utterly annihilate the Jewish people from the face of the earth. During this period, many of the people of Israel, those not directly serving in the military, will be removed to a safe place like Petra for protection.

Yeshua clarifies this more in his most famous prophecy:

Matthew 24:15 Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let him that reads understand).
24:16 Let them that are in Judaea flee to the mountains.
24:17 Let him that is on the housetop not go down to take things out of his house,
24:18 and let him that is in the field not return to take his cloak.
24:19 And woe to pregnant and nursing women in those days!
24:20 Pray that your flight is not in the winter nor on a Shabbat:
24:21 because then will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor will ever be again.
24:22 If those days are not shortened, no flesh will be saved: but to save the elect [i.e., the Jews], those days will be shortened.
24:23 At that time, if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Mashiach, or, There he is, he is lying to you.

Note the direct connection between the Abomination of Desolation and the proclamation that Rex Mundi is the Mashiach (verse 23). The Abomination will include placing his idol in the Holy of Holies of his pseudo temple, as discussed. Based on the Christian belief that Yeshua was god incarnate, he will likely claim to be Messiah and god. He will declare that he has established world peace and is a divine being, and, according to tradition, he will sacrifice a sow in the holy place.

In the "Middle of the Week," when Rex Mundi commits the Abomination of Desolation spoken of previously, Yeshua urges those Jews living in Jerusalem to flee the city for the hills immediately! This planetary Jewish purge will be unlike anything ever witnessed. Like the biblical Haman, the Rex Mundi will call upon his loyal subjects to rid the earth of the Jewish infestation. Killing us will be both legal and encouraged.

The Great Tribulation will last one thousand, two hundred and sixty days, forty-two months, or three and a half years. Despite God's protection, 2/3 of world Jewry will perish, according to our sages.

Isaiah 42:11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof raise their voices, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory to Adonai, and declare His praise in the islands
. 13 Adonai will go forth as a mighty man; He will excite His zeal like a man of war: He will cry, yes, He will shout aloud; He will do mightily against His enemies.

Petra

As Mashiach opens the Seven Sealed Scrolls, his armies will begin their attacks and counterattacks:

12:7 And there was war in the heavens: Michael and his angels going forth to battle with the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels;

As we saw in the first chapter of Job, the celestial beings have access to the Throne Room and Courts of HaShem before the Merkabah. Humans are empowered to approach the Throne through prayer, but not directly since that would destroy our free will. It is God's Will that humans be free to pursue their desires, and He assigns His servants, the angels, to help facilitate this. These warring celestial beings do not belong to rival angelic factions in a civil war against HaShem, as some imagine, but rather reflect human struggles. The struggle is between humans committed to God, the Sons of Light, and the Globalists, the Sons of Darkness. Both groups claim spiritual authority and justification. In chapter twelve, the war referenced in the Egyptian Book of Enoch comes to pass when these two parties will go head to head. The War of Magog, discussed in Ezekiel 38–39, endangers all creation and culminates six thousand years of conflict wherein humans must choose to follow the Creator or reject Him. The celestial warriors go forth throughout all the created realms, some defending and aligned with the Sons of Light and others with the Sons of Darkness. As Mashiach ben David opens the first of the Seven Sealed Scrolls, the celestial realms break into open warfare: a struggle beyond our limited comprehension. This seven-year war begins with the opening of the First Sealed Scroll. It may have already started in our own time. During those periods when the firmament is rolled away like a scroll, it is likely that we will witness this fighting above us as well as on the earth surrounding us. As described by Prophet Isaiah:

The "Babylon" Pronouncement, a prophecy of Isaiah son of Amoz.
"Raise a standard upon a bare hill,
Cry aloud to them;
Wave a hand, and let them enter
The gates of the nobles!
I have summoned My purified guests
To execute My wrath;
Behold, I have called My stalwarts,
My proudly exultant ones."
Hark! A tumult on the mountains—
As of a mighty force;
Hark! An uproar of kingdoms,
Nations assembling!
Adonai Shavuot, the God of Armies, is mustering
A host for war.
They come from a distant land,
From the end of the sky—
Adonai with the weapons of divine wrath—
To ravage all the earth!
Howl!
For the day of Adonai is near;
It shall come like havoc from Shaddai.
Therefore, all hands shall grow limp,
And every human heart shall sink;
And, overcome by terror,
Pangs and throes shall seize them,
Writhe like a woman in travail.
All shall gaze at each other in horror,
Their faces will be livid with fright.
Lo! The day of Adonai is coming
With pitiless fury and wrath,
To make the earth a desolation,
To wipe out the sinners upon it.

The stars and constellations of heaven
Shall not give off their light;
The sun shall be dark when it rises,
And the moon shall diffuse no glow.
"And I will recompense to the world its evil,
And to the wicked their iniquity;
I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant
And humble the arrogance of tyrants.
I will make people scarcer than fine gold,
And mortals [more scarce] than the gold of Ophir."
Therefore shall heaven be shaken,
And earth shall leap out of its place,
At the fury of Adoni Shavuot!
On the day of Adonai's burning wrath.

Yochanan and the other Jewish Way Sect members knew this prophecy:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken" (Matthew 24:29).

Back to our text:

12:8 But they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven [or ouranos].

The KJV, the ASV, and others translate ouranos as "heaven" in both 12:7 and 12:8. The WEB and others have it as "sky," in both cases, which is more accurate to the meaning, the dome-like firmament surrounding the earth as we've discussed. The term translated from the Hebrew is shamayim. Strong's Dictionary tells us this about the word:

Ouranos: the vaulted expanse of the sky with all things visible in it
the universe, the world
the aerial heavens or sky, the region where the clouds and the tempests gather, and where thunder and lightning are produced
the sidereal or starry heavens
the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings.

This is amazingly accurate! Ouranos is the abode of everything that exists within the "Dome" covering the earth. Above Ouranos is the Merkaba, the Throne of HaShem, as described in Genesis chapter one and Ezekiel one. Don't be confused by the Greek Pagan conception of Heaven, the realm of Zeus with streets of gold, and so on. This battle of the War of Magog will occur in all domains, especially the celestial ones in this context. "Heaven" in 12:8, therefore, means that God will expel all the negative spiritual powers from Shamayim or Ouranos in Greek and cast them downward upon the Plain of the Earth, the primary battlefield of the final War.

12:9 And the great dragon, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his servants were cast down with him.

The metaphorical Sheep and the Goats are now permanently separated, as referenced in Matthew 25:31-46. The Yetzer Hatov and the Yetzer Hara, the dual nature of positive and negative energies and the powers or elohim arising from them, will be forever disassociated. Everyone on earth will have made their choice; sides will have been chosen. What people need to know to make this informed decision will be revealed to them by their own experiences and the Ruach HaKodesh or Spirit of HaShem.

Once the First Sealed Scroll opens, the Seven-Year War begins. Three and a half years into it, Ouranos, the firmament and its domains, will be cleansed of rebellion by HaMashiach ben David. At that point, the Yetzer Hara negative powers, typified by the Globalist Nefilim and their slaves, will completely possess and re-animate the dead body of the slain Rex Mundi.

Demonic forces will possess everyone who has taken the Mark of the Beast, all who have not chosen the Light, the Yetzer Hatov of Derech HaShem. As we will discuss, when we come to the Mark of the Beast, these demons will possess all who accept that Mark. They will lose their rational existence and become mere animals, as conceived by Noah Harari's homo deus blasphemy. During the Great Tribulation (the second three and half years), hordes of possessed entities will freely roam the earth. Many already are.

The difference between the created celestial beings or malachim and humans is that we have a reasoning mind and individual volition. The angels are somewhat comparable to highly advanced dogs and cats. They have awareness and can think on rudimentary levels as needed for their various tasks, but they lack humans' sense of individual awareness. God 'possesses' them, and they always serve as He directs. Unlike the angels, humans can debate, agree or disagree, comply or refuse. Those who receive the Mark of the Beast surrender this unique ability and become, in effect, dark angels. Like the angels, they merely perform the will of their master, but he is the Dark Lord of the Nefilim, the negative powers. These formerly human creatures have only enough independent thought and volition to carry out his will. Humans, homo sapiens, are currently 'lower' than the angels because we abuse our freedoms and rebel. After the Great War, humans will be elevated above them by achieving devekut or attachment to God. Those homo sapiens who take the Mark will become homo diablos and surrender their unique consciousness. Their holy sparks (souls) will merge into the darkness of the unmanifested abyss. This transformation is terrible beyond human conception.

12:10 And I heard a great voice in heaven saying, Now has come the Redemption. The power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Mashiach: for the accuser of our brethren who accuses them before our God day and night has been cast down.

The Globalist accusation is two-fold. From what we are told, "Lucifer" rebelled against Elohim before the beginning of the Olam Hazeh (the present age), which is to say, before the establishment of the Garden of Eden and possibly even the Void. This is to say that before Elohim created humanity, He determined that we would have the power to reason and rebel. Within our consciousness is the seed of free will. We may take these accounts at face value and conceive of a malevolent being "seeking whom he might destroy," or we may see it as a metaphor for the Yetzer Hara, the negative inclination empowering our free will. I discuss this elsewhere at LearnEmunah.com. However conceived, "Lucifer" challenged that humans would only embrace the Way of HaShem for a pay-off. The accusation is that humans are innately greedy, violent, and hence poorly created by God. It is not only a challenge against humanity but against the Creator Himself. This challenge is recorded in the oldest book of the Bible, the Book of Iyov or Job.

From one perspective, human history has been the settlement of these accusations. The matter has now been decided as we go through chapter twelve. Lucifer and his minions are exiled in punishment as Ouranos is cleansed. On the Earth, Mashiach ben Yosef is leading the forces of righteous humanity and celestial beings in uniting the earth under HaShem's banner in preparation for HaMashiach ben David's coming. Thus, an uncertain percentage, a remnant, of humanity will answer the accusation directly, and some will survive the war. We continue,

12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony that they loved not their life even unto death.

Again, note the identity of the lamb with the plural testimony of the single lamb. All those who loved not their "life" even unto death are viewed as a single sacrificial lamb to the slaughter. Jews are the "Suffering Servant," as Isaiah 52-54 describes. These martyrs are living testimonies that humanity was wondrously made and can be fit children of the Heavenly Father. Lucifer, the Nephilim, the Globalists, the yetzer hara, will now be proven wrong.

As with identifying the "child" earlier in this chapter, there is an understandable tendency among some to interpret this as the blood of Yeshua, shed at his execution, as emphasized by Christian salvation dogma. However, read this verse carefully and without any religious assumption:

They [plural] overcame him [Lucifer] because of or by the Lamb's blood and the word of their [plural] testimony. They [plural] didn't love their life [singular], even to death. As before, to help with translations, words are sometimes added to the texts to tie desperate clauses together. The words in brackets do not appear in the actual text:

And they overcame him by [the] blood [of the] Lamb, and by [the] word of their testimony, and [they] loved not their life unto [the] death.

When read without the added words, commas, etc., the text reads: And they overcame him by blood Lamb and by word of their testimony and loved not their life unto death.

Who are these referenced people ("they")? The context of this chapter reveals them to be Israel and the Great Multitude of Gentiles siding with her. The woman Israel is giving birth to the Messianic Kingdom of the Olam Haba. Lucifer, called the red dragon or negative powers, seeks to thwart that Kingdom and finalize Globalist Nefilim rule over a world of post-homo sapiens turned homo diablos.

In this chapter's context, the Rex Mundi will deceive the Jewish leadership and have his deceitful peace plan signed by them, thus surrendering Israel. According to this text, the weapon that defeats Rex Mundi is the sacrificial lamb-blood of the martyrs referenced above.

Understanding the Erev Rav

The Jewish people are generally good and have been sacrificed for others' sins since the beginning, as described in Isaiah 52-54, which refers to us as the "Suffering Servant." However, we have often followed leaders known as the Erev Rav and have suffered due to their errors.

There is much scholarly debate over the term erev rav found in Exodus 12:38: "An ʿerev rav [or an erevrav] also went up with them."

Interpreted one way, ʿerev rav means a great or mixed multitude and refers to the Gentiles who left Egypt with us. Translating it as "many" is reduplicative with the letters resh and bet repeating and is contextually unlikely to be accurate by many linguistic scholars. Umberto Cassuto (1883–1951), the Samaritan Pentateuch, the Babylonian Talmud, Samuel David Luzzato (1800–1865), and others provide a more likely meaning:

Apparently, the correct view is that which regards the expression עֵרֶב רַב ʿerebh rabh ['mixed multitude'] as a single word, from the stem עָרַב ʿarabh [or erev], formed by the repetition of the last two radicals.

This point agrees with the Samaritan Torah, which renders a single word, ערברב (ʿaravrav). This meaning says nothing of the number or identity of the aravrav. That must be deduced from the context.

Numbers 11:4: The ʾaravrav in their midst felt a gluttonous craving; and then the Israelites wept and said, "If only we had meat to eat!
11:5 We remember the fish that we used to eat free in Egypt.

Who are these "aravrav" who complained? They are the ones who cried about not having meat to eat; in other words, the dissatisfied Israelites, not the Gentiles among them. The phrases erev rav and aravrav are referencing the same thing—the plight of Israelites who lose their emunah in HaShem and who embrace arrogance as a result. Such people have always been with us. Like Nadab and Abihu, such are they who offer alien fire upon HaShem's alter (see Leviticus chapter ten).

The Talmud warns:

Sanhedrin Folio 97a: ...Thus has Rabbi Yohanan said: in the generation when the son of David [i.e., Messiah] will come, scholars will be few, and as for the rest, their eyes will fail through sorrow and grief. Multitudes of trouble and evil decrees will be promulgated anew, each new evil coming with haste before the other has ended.

And as our Rebbe warns:

Great atheism is coming to the world as a test from on high. The world's many sins are causing a terrible lack of emunah. Happy is the person who stays firm in his emunah in these times.
The fact that I am predicting this will not prevent the increase of Godlessness and confusion. Long ago, Daniel and others made it known that this would happen in the days before the Mashiach: "Many will purify themselves and be refined, and make themselves shining white. But the wicked will do evil. and only the wise shall understand" (Daniel 12:10 ).
Knowing this has been foretold, it should not be such a great trial for people to remain strong and firm in their emunah. But the truth is that even though the prophets made this known long ago, it will still be a great trial. Many will fall by the way, which is why it is written: "The wicked will do evil."
I am revealing this for the sake of the few pure souls who will remain firm in their faith. They will certainly face great battles even in their minds. But seeing that this has already been predicted will give them greater strength and encouragement - Sichot Haran #35

According to the biblical and Jewish prophets and this book of Revelation, the Erev Rav among us will embrace the Rex Mundi and submit to the Great Reset to Paganism as many today do. Among them will be many who pose are rabbis and other leaders; hence, the scholars will be few.

Yet during these seven years, massive numbers of Jews (and Gentiles who take the hem of their garments) will remain true and be martyred as testimonies. Yochanan is not talking about the death of Yeshua here but of these innumerable End Time martyrs who, like lambs, will be slaughtered by the Globalists.

Recall that the ongoing challenge is that people will only choose to submit to HaShem with a pay-off. They would rather submit to the Nefilim's Globalist system due to their lack of emunah. As we saw earlier, the Jews are "HaShem's lot," His kept percentage of the population. A remnant of Jews and righteous Gentiles at this point will willingly surrender their lives with no visible pay-off rather than submit to the Novus Ordo Seclorum. These are the referenced "lamb." Their life-blood devotion to HaShem alone wields power in this now-ending court case. The blood of these martyrs is powerful; by their sacrifices, they will defeat the lies of the Luciferian system as they recite the Psalms with emunah.

Mashiach ben David will conquer the world only through simple people who recite the Psalms simply and sincerely - Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, Sipurim Niflaim

Once again, the Suffering Servant of HaShem will be slaughtered by the millions for the well-being of the world. As we read:

Genesis 12:1 Now Adonai said to Avram, Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and your father's house, unto the land that I will show you. 12:2 I will make of you a great nation and will bless you and make your name great and a blessing.
12:3 I will bless all who bless you, and curse all who curse you. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.

All the families of the earth have been blessed through the service of the Jews in innumerable ways. Now, the final blessing is at hand. This is the point of the section of Isaiah referenced above and the point of these verses in our Revelation study under consideration. As the "Sixth Day" of the Olam Hazeh closes, which is to say, the sixth thousandth year since creation, the suffering service of the Jews throughout the ages will be rewarded by God as He utterly annihilates the Nefilim-born Globalists and their agenda. As Yeshua said, to save the Jews from absolute destruction, the Great Tribulation will be shortened by the coming of Mashiach ben David (Matthew 24:22). If not, no one on earth would survive this war.

12:12 Therefore rejoice O heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea: because the devil is cast down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time.

Just under three and a half years, and they will use every weapon in their arsenal to defeat Israel and Israel's coming King.

The Nefilim Globalists must believe they can win. Indeed, their human followers do! Lucifer will be furious at losing the celestial regions. Thus, his anger will burn hot as he enters the Rex Mundi and begins his last-ditch effort at planetary victory! Starting with the Jews.

12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man child.
12:14 And there was given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she will be nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

This "time and times and half a time" (or more literally dividing of a time) again speaks of the final three and a half years of the Tribulation period when the Jews will flee into Petra and other locations seeking safety, as discussed previously.

That we are again referencing the woman Israel adds support to the interpretations shared above. The topic hasn't changed since the beginning of the chapter.

Rex Mundi will be fully possessed by Lucifer, commit the Abomination of Desolation, and be slain. Having been exiled to the Earth as discussed above, the Dark Nephilim Lord will reanimate and possess Rex Mundi's corpse and focus the brunt of his anger on the Jews. He will probably do this for the following reasons: His assassin will probably be one of his former Jewish followers who, witnessing the Abomination in the faux Temple, will realize that he and his people have been deceived, driving him to strike out in furious anger. Moreso, however, the Nephilim Beast will probably go after the Jews because they are the chosen people of the One True God. Now their eyes are opening, and they will finally obey the orders of His Mashiach. That causes his jealous rage and rekindles his timeless hatred of the true God and His Chosen People. Doubtless, these pogroms will also happen because, as Yeshua makes clear, Mashiach ben David is specifically coming and fighting to save the Jews from genocide (Matthew 24:22). If Rex Mundi can genocide the last of the Jews, the Nephilim will win! Israel is the key to everything, as has been the case since the beginning.

As Rex Mundi commits the Abomination of Desolation, and in the hours and days following it, Jews around the world, but especially in Israel, will be frantically freeing to Petra, Jordan, and other places looking for hiding places, or joining with the various opposition forces before the rise of Mashiach ben Yosef. Facing imminent genocide, most will begin making serious teshuvah or repentance. When the spirit of repentance engulfs all the surviving Jews, Mashiach ben Yosef will arise. But not quit yet.

It appears that HaShem will grant protection to His people as they flee to Petra. Petra is currently in Jordanian-occupied Eretz Israel, but the forces of Mashiach ben Yosef will liberate this area for Israel (Matthew 24:15-23). As the Jews are fleeing:

12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river the dragon cast out of his mouth.

During this great escape to Petra, the forces of the Rex Mundi will do whatever they can to capture and kill the fleeing Jews. As the Globalists seek to annihilate the remaining Jews, they will use all the technology and weaponry at their disposal, including soldiers, tanks, aircraft, bombs, drones, sound weapons, the media, etc. Because Rex Mundi will now be Lucifer or evil incarnate, he may cause massive waves to literally flow across the desert (in mockery perhaps of HaShem's parting of the Sea of Reeds when the Nefilim sought to murder the Hebrews with their Egyptian forces). What is certain is that HaShem will defend His people at this point so they can reach the Haven He has for them for the final three and half years. As for the Jews elsewhere in the world, we have nothing affirming His protection. Most Jews will probably be in Israel by this point, having sought refuge from the devasted West with the man they will wrongly embrace as their king, Mashiach.

12:17 And the dragon [i.e., the possessed Rex Mundi] waxed furious towards the woman and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and hold to the prophetic teachings of Yeshua.

Here is the reason for my previous assumption. The "remainder of the Jews" seems to indicate those in and outside of Israel who refuse to bend their knees to Rex Mundi, including those who embrace Derech Yeshua as practiced by Yochanan. Remember that Yochanan is a first-century Jew and Rabbi Yeshua ben Miriam follower. As such, he places great importance on his teacher's guidance. The Greek wordmarturia (mar-too-ree'-ah), here translated as prophetic teachings or often as testimony, is revealing. It specifically references a legal or court statement involving the office committed to the prophets when testifying concerning future events. By using this word, Yochanan directly speaks of those trusting his teacher's prophetic testimony as his predictions will be fulfilled. He is not speaking of something that has already occurred, such as his execution. According to the author, the fulfillment of this teaching or testimony is still in the future.

These Jews and their "seed" or offspring religionists who follow Yeshua will live in perpetual jeopardy and most likely won't survive. Unable to murder the Petra Jews, the Global New World Order government will begin hunting and slaughtering Jews and their supporters everywhere. Whether one is in Israel or outside of it at this time, the only intelligent response to these events is teshuvah, repentance, with emunah, motivating faith, and bitichon, unshakable trust in HaShem alone.

Some versions include:

18 And he stood on the gravel of the sea.
(12:18 seems to be a scribal error duplicating 13:1 and so is often omited.)
