I wrote this in response to a video posted by a well meaning but ill informed American Muslim. Unfortunately the gentleman does not understand real Islam, Al Qur'an, Al Hadith, nor Islamic history. I wish Islam taught what he believes, but it does not. Many American converts ("reverts") to Islam were deliberately incorrectly taught for the purpose of taquiya (Sharia allowed deception). Some of these people are beginning to see the truth and are distancing themselves from the din (religion).
From the very beginning Muhammad and his followers used violence to spread his teachings. They blamed the kafir (infidels/non-Muslims) for all things wrong with the world.
Jihad (struggle) includes the internal struggle as he says, but it also includes the external struggle against the kafir and the establishment of the global Sharia based caliphate -- "persuasion is preferable but the sword is equally effective." This is why Jihadi Muslims murder more Muslims than others: they are not considered Muslims by the Jihadis because they are not fully submitted to the Sharia. Islam is incompatible with all other religious and social systems.
The Jihadis are walking the path set out by Muhammad and his original followers in Al Qur'an and Al Hadith. Christianity has largely abandoned violence and forced conversions -- it used to be as bad as Islam is today. One day Islam may become "the religion of peace" but that day has not yet come, despite the hopeful words we hear in some video messages.

God has set a seal upon their hearts and ears; their sight is dimmed and grievous punishment awaits them.” Qur'an 2:1/2:6-2:10“God’s curse be upon the infidels! Evil is that for which they have bartered away their souls. To deny God’s own revelation, grudging that He should reveal His bounty to whom He chooses from among His servants! I mean no respect with this post. It is not respectful of Islam nor its prophet to claim it is not what it is. Observant Muslims believe that only through islam (submission) to the deen (religion) and sharia (legal code) can humanity elevate itself in the service of their god. This needs to be understood correctly. Those who wish to live as Muslims should accept this or change their religion, as Christians largely have. Those who do not wish to live in an Islamic caliphate need to take steps to prevent the fall of their nations to the deen because you are in their cross hairs.
